Madi Preda is a writer and self-taught artist whose unique background informs her work. Born in Romania, her formative years were shaped by the historical weight of the Dracula myth and life under the communist regime.
She initially pursued a professional career as an accountant in Galati. However, her true calling emerged later in life as she embarked on a journey that led her through Greece and back to Romania, before she ultimately settled in the dramatic, rugged beauty of the Ring of Kerry, Ireland. She works now for Mental Health Services.
It was in Ireland, during the COVID-19 pandemic, that Madi became a dedicated artist, finding time to paint and write again amidst her professional life. Her writing and art explore the evocative contrasts between her grounded past and the windswept freedom of her current home, inspired by her husband and her lovely dog Ted.
Additionally, when she has time, she helps other authors to promote their books and increase their online visibility.
Every story is a journey into the depths of human experience. Madi believes that literature has the power to transform, heal, and inspire readers to see the world through new eyes.
Painting is a silent form of storytelling. Each artwork is created as an emotional experience, where colors, shapes, and movement reflect feelings that words often cannot express.
At the heart of all creative work lies authenticity. Madi's pieces—whether written or painted—emerge from genuine emotion and lived experience.
The boundary between reality and imagination is where true creativity lives. Madi's work invites audiences to explore the spaces between dreams and waking life.
